Nancy is a young woman and prostitute who is rise in that profession by Fagin. She evetually betrays Fagin and Sikes to save Oliver but she will not leave them, and pays her life for this decision.
This picture is the best to describe the role of the character becuase it portrays the closeness between Nancy and Oliver.
